Purpose
Know your destination: a costed exit plan, value target and timeline.
P10 Advisory helps founder-led manufacturing and SME businesses become process-driven, valuable and exit-ready. Ground-up, outcome-based consulting that delivers lasting performance today and a premium, low-risk exit tomorrow.
Most owner-managed businesses are built around one person. That makes the founder the bottleneck day to day, and concentrates almost all of their wealth in an asset that a buyer sees as high risk. Founder dependency is the single biggest threat to both your freedom and your future payout.

The P10 framework breaks enterprise value and founder freedom into ten dimensions, the ten Ps, grouped into five pillars. The same ten levers that free you from the business are the ones that make it valuable to a buyer.
Know your destination: a costed exit plan, value target and timeline.
Win a defensible niche with pricing power, independent of you.
Productise the offer so margin is consistent and not founder-quoted.
Build a predictable sales engine that doesn’t run through you.
Document and systemise the work so it repeats without you.
An accountable leadership team and a successor in place.
Run the business on KPIs and rhythm, not gut feel.
Clean, well-understood margin, cash and quality of earnings.
De-risk contracts, IP and dependencies for due diligence.
Optimise valuation and prepare a clean, planned transition.
Each P is scored from 1 to 10. Together they form the P10 Index: your readiness to perform, and to transfer, without you.
We score each of the ten Ps from 1 to 10 against an evidence-based standard, producing a single readiness score out of 100. It baselines where you are today, sets the target, and becomes the scoreboard for every step of the journey.
See your indicative score →The business is the founder. High key-person risk, limited transferable value.
Systems and a team carry the load. Performing, resilient, more valuable.
Transferable, de-risked and positioned to command a premium multiple.
We don’t hand over a strategy deck and leave. We implement alongside your people, and measure success in P10 Index points gained.
We score your P10 Index, surface the value gaps and quantify the prize. This diagnostic anchors everything.
We sequence the ten Ps by dependency and return into a prioritised 12–24 month plan.
We work shoulder-to-shoulder with your team to install the systems, processes and habits, hands-on.
We embed the gains, re-score the Index, and prepare the business, and you, for a confident exit.
Makers, engineers and product businesses where operations, margin and process are the value.
Owner-managed businesses where too much still depends on one person, usually you.
Planning to step back, hand over or sell within roughly the next two to seven years.
Owners who want lasting change implemented, not just a report, and will engage their team.
A business that runs without you — your time, focus and peace of mind returned, long before any exit.
Durable gains in margin, cash and capacity that hold because they’re built into systems, not heroics.
A transferable, de-risked business that completes a sale or handover at the top of its multiple, on your terms.
One system, end to end. Most advisors solve half the problem: strategy, or tax, or the sale. P10 connects performance improvement and exit value on a single framework, implemented hands-on, designed for manufacturing and SME realities.
Start with your score →Take the P10 Index self-assessment: twenty questions across the ten dimensions. You’ll get an indicative score, your readiness band, and a clear view of where your value and your freedom are most trapped.
P10 Advisory helps founder-led manufacturing and SME businesses become process-driven, more valuable and exit-ready. We provide ground-up, outcome-based consulting that reduces the business’s dependence on the owner, improves day-to-day performance, and builds the transferable value a buyer pays a premium for, measured throughout by our proprietary P10 Index.
The P10 Index is a diagnostic that scores a business from 1 to 10 across ten dimensions of value — the ten Ps — for a single readiness score out of 100. A score of 10–40 means the business is Founder-Dependent, 41–70 means Process-Driven, and 71–100 means Exit-Ready. It baselines where a business is today, sets the target, and tracks every improvement.
The ten Ps are Purpose, Position, Proposition, Pipeline, Process, People, Performance, Profit, Protection and Payday, grouped into five pillars: Direction, Demand, Delivery, Discipline and Durability. Together they define whether a business can run, and sell, without its founder.
We work with founder-led manufacturing and SME businesses — typically owner-managed companies where too much still depends on one person, that are planning to step back, hand over or sell within roughly the next two to seven years, and whose owners want lasting change implemented rather than just a report.
Most advisors solve half the problem: consultants hand over strategy decks, accountants optimise the numbers, and brokers arrive only at the point of sale. P10 connects both halves in one system, because the same work that frees an owner from the business is the work that makes it valuable to a buyer, and we implement it hands-on with your team rather than leaving you a binder.
Buyers pay for transferable, de-risked profit, not for an owner’s personal effort. When customers, knowledge, decisions and relationships all run through the founder, the business carries high key-person risk and most of its value walks out of the door on completion. Australian research shows almost half of owners considering an exit have no succession or sale plan, and many businesses prove hard to sell because their value cannot transfer beyond the founder.
It depends on the starting P10 Index and the goal, but most founder-led businesses work to a 12–24 month roadmap. The P10 Audit, which produces the baseline score and plan, runs over roughly four to six weeks, and the Index is re-scored at intervals so progress is measured in points gained.
No. The same ten levers that prepare a business for a premium exit also free the owner day-to-day and improve performance now. Many owners engage P10 years before any sale, simply to step back, de-risk the business and grow its value. Exit-readiness is the by-product of a well-run, transferable business.
Start with the free P10 Index self-assessment: twenty questions, about four minutes, and you’ll see an indicative score, your readiness band and where your value and freedom are most trapped. From there, the full P10 Audit validates the picture against evidence and builds your roadmap.
Whether you’re years from stepping back or ready to move now, the first conversation is simple: where are you today, and where do you want to get to? No pressure, no jargon.
